Annual Scholarship Contest!

Bella Mi Photography is looking to support the next big photographer! Could it be you?

 

Introducing the annual Future Photographer Scholarship for students pursing degrees in creative arts, with an interest in photography!

 

This scholarship is open to students ages 17-24 who are residents of the State of Ohio and are currently enrolled in high school or college in the State of Ohio. The winner of this scholarship will receive $500, which may be applied to education costs (including room and board) and a $200 gift certificate to Bella Mi Photography. 

Applicants will provide two references: one, non-family character reference, one current teacher/professor. They will also submit an original photograph. Photograph may be in any style and of any subject, but less than 50% of the subject may be illustrated. Any individuals appearing in the photograph must submit a photo release. Please submit the original image and the edited image (before and after processing/photoshopping). Applicants will be required to write and submit an essay (between 500-750 words) about what the photograph means to them.

 

The applicants will be judged on the following criteria: Originality, Photographic composition, Use of photograph editing tools, Description of photograph’s meaning, Meeting eligibility requirements, Writing mechanics.
